Just today, I ran across this picture from a couple years ago. It's amazing how much this family had changed. the little guy that's in the belly, is now almost 2 years old and his older brother is still quite a charm. Their family is just as happy today as they were when these pictures were taken.

There's something captivating about a newborn baby. They are snuggly and cuddly and innocent and bring so much joy.  Our family is complete, which is why I love my job, I get to indulge for just a few hours then I walk away with wonderful pictures that will last forever. It's the ultimate opportunity to 'Capture Life, One Click at a Time.'

There's nothing sexier, more beautiful, more amazing than a round full-of-life belly. Don't you agree?

Paused....

Sometimes, I'm editing and I get to a picture that I didn't expect and I just have to stop and share. Today, this picture did that for me.

This picture just draws me in. Maybe it's because I love his family. Maybe it's because I think he's awesome. Maybe because I've watched him grow up and I'm amazed. Maybe it's because I know that one day he'll be a man, I'll be an old lady (still fabulous) and I hope he is as eager for life in 30 years.

So, to the M. family, your pictures are almost ready. But for now, this one made me pause. Love you all.

Change is a'coming

Photos by Pru will use an offical watermark on all web images from now on.

Why? Well, simply put, publicity. I watermarked photos for a little while but somewhere around June, after my logo was designed, I stopped placing my © symbol on many pictures,  especially on Facebook, which is exactly why I need the new watermark. With Facebook it's so easy to share pictures and I think if the picture is good enough to share then I should get the credit and definitely the publicity.

So, today is a new day.

Check out the newly designed Photos By Pru watermark that will go on all web images. Don't worry, clients always get unwatermarked images for their personal use but I ask that all electronic (Facebook, email, etc) images use the watermark version.


This is a move forward plan. At this time, I don't plan to re-upload images that have not been watermarked.

The 50mm challenge

It's a photographers' dream and challenge. I pulled out the 50mm lens. It's a special lens and mostly used for porrtraits or detail photographs. But it's best because this lens can find beauty in just about anything. So, one day, I realized that I hadn't used mine in a while and pulled it out and started clicking. Here are the results.

Little baby on the way. Getting bigger every day. Kicking mommy here and there. God please listen to our prayer.

Keep our baby safe and strong. Let his time with us be long. Help us teach him right from wrong. and we shall praise thee all day long.This little one, though not yet here, Is loved so much, has grown quite dear. Delivery time is growing near.
That’s why we pray our plea you’ll hear.



Please help us Lord, we pray to Thee. With thankful heart, on bended knee. To raise this child that he might be. A happy child because of me.

Every year, around this time, our family gets a dose of happiness.
First, we celebrate our 7 year wedding anniversary.
Secondly, our first born son turns 5 and starts kindergarten.
Thirdly, our baby girl celebrates her 1st birthday.

This weekend, I had the most delicious cake. It was extremely beautiful and detailed and you know, that somethings are pretty and that's just it. But this cake, was pretty and pretty tasty.  Yum! I am so  glad that I only got a small piece as we were leaving to avoid any temptation.
