She's only 1 for 365 days and everyday there is a new amazing part of her life that is evolving. She's growing up. One day, Mommy and Daddy will remind her that there was a time when she was 'yay high' with a 20 word vocabulary and she captured their hearts. Next year, won't be like this year and in 20 years, her littleness, will be a distant memory......except for THESE pictures.

Just another birthday party ......

It was my pleasure. It was my honor to be at this birthday party. There were tears, screams, smiles and most of all there was joy. This was a special birthday party. 

I hope I get to do this again. More pics to come, as Mom and Dad allow it.

This was a busy, busy week for me. Personally and professionally. But the weekend is here. So I will sigh, take a few deep breaths and relax.

I need something pretty, like flowers, to look at to help me relax. I will close my eyes and reflect on all the wonderful things that are happening to me.

I think, rather know, that I am the luckiest girl in the world. There are a million reasons why. But today, I know I'm lucky because after almost 40 years of marriage, my parents are still married, still happily married and still in love.

That doesn't happen easily and I don't take it for granted. I love those two people and I love that they love each other.

A few months ago, we had a special birthday party for my Dad and when their favorite song came on, they danced like they were newlyweds. It was cute. :)

The mail man came last week and he brought gifts :).

I was soooooo excited.

Look what he brought. Books for everyone! Well, not everyone.
